Project Overview

The Rovy application was developed to provide users with comprehensive, real-time digital information about their vehicles via a Bluetooth device. Modern car owners expect detailed, instant updates on various aspects such as engine status, fuel levels, and connectivity options. Rovy bridges the gap between traditional vehicle monitoring systems and the need for immediate digital information, delivering a seamless user experience. The application ensures car owners stay informed about their vehicle's status through a digital cluster displayed on their mobile application, enhancing maintenance and overall driving experience.

Product Background

The objective of the Rovy app is to engage users by providing an elevated driving experience through a sophisticated dashboard that shows live technical data of the vehicle. The app offers driving patterns to help users improve their driving skills and includes an option to share their Revo score with friends via social media platforms like Facebook. Additionally, the app provides other useful information such as a summary report for the day, vehicle analysis, graph analysis, trip history, and more.

Problem Statement

Users often face challenges in accessing comprehensive and real-time information about their car's status. Key issues identified include:

The Solution

To address these issues, Rovy was developed with the following features, enabled through a Bluetooth device:

Information Architecture

Competitor Analysis

A thorough analysis of competitor apps revealed best practices in checkout design. We identified successful patterns and incorporated them into our redesign, focusing on simplicity and clarity.

Value of the Project

    For users:

  • Real-time Engine Health Monitoring
  • Fuel Level Tracking
  • Phone Connectivity Management
  • Centralized Information Hub

    For the Industry:

  • Alert System for critical issues
  • Digital Cluster Display
  • Navigation Assistance with turn-by-turn directions
  • Driving Performance Tracking and feedback
  • Travel Distance and Fuel Consumption tracking

Empathy Map

An empathy map was created to understand user needs and pain points during the checkout process. This helped us identify key areas for improvement and ensure the redesign addressed user concerns effectively.

Gains Based on Empathy and Persona

Based on the empathy map and user persona, we focused on delivering a checkout experience that was efficient, trustworthy, and satisfying. The redesign aimed to meet user expectations and provide a seamless buying journey.

Mockups

Both low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups were created to visualize the redesigned checkout flow. Low-fidelity mockups helped us iterate on the layout and functionality, while high-fidelity mockups refined the visual design and user interactions.

User Persona

The UI is designed for clarity and minimalism, with a responsive dashboard showing vital stats. Color-coded indicators (e.g., red for alerts) help prioritize actions. The layout adapts across smartphones and tablets. The digital cluster is central, offering a seamless bridge between car data and mobile control.

Final Conclusion

Rovy delivers a modern driving companion experience through real-time, Bluetooth-powered data visualization on the user’s phone. It improves safety, efficiency, and usability while aligning with evolving user expectations. The thoughtful UX design ensures that the solution not only addresses pain points but also adds meaningful value to the user journey.
